By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of Supermatter's platform, APIs, desktop applications, or associated services (collectively, the "Services"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not access or use the Services.
Supermatter operates an AI-powered materials simulation and autonomous research platform. Our Services include, but are not limited to:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
To use the Services, you must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts under applicable law. Accounts registered on behalf of minors are not permitted.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Supermatter reserves the right to terminate accounts that are found to contain false, misleading, or incomplete information.
You may not create more than one account per individual without prior written approval. Accounts are non-transferable.
Access to the Supermatter API is granted through API keys tied to your account. You are fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your API keys.
You must not:
If you suspect your credentials have been compromised, you must revoke them immediately from your dashboard and notify us at hello@supermatter.sh. Supermatter is not liable for any damage or loss resulting from unauthorized use of your credentials.
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use the Services to:
Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice.
All elements of the Services — including but not limited to the SM-1 model weights, simulation engine, software, user interface, documentation, and branding — are owned by or licensed to Supermatter and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain full ownership of the data, research inputs, and materials you submit to the Services ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Supermatter a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process and use such content solely for the purpose of delivering and improving the Services. We do not claim ownership over your research outputs.
You may not use Supermatter's name, logo, or trademarks without prior written consent.
Supermatter's simulation outputs are intended to accelerate research and discovery workflows. They are provided for informational and exploratory purposes only. While SM-1 employs state-of-the-art quantum-accurate methods, simulation results should be independently validated before use in any safety-critical, regulatory, or commercial context.
Supermatter does not warrant that simulation results will be free from error, complete, or suitable for any particular application. Users assume full responsibility for any decisions made based on outputs generated by the Services.
Access to certain features of the Services may require a paid subscription or usage-based billing. Pricing, billing cycles, and applicable quotas will be communicated at the time of purchase or plan enrollment. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law.
Supermatter reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of paid Services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our discretion, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users, Supermatter, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to access the Services will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution — will continue to apply.
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.
Supermatter does not warrant that the Services will meet your specific requirements, that results will be accurate or reliable, or that any errors will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Supermatter and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages — including but not limited to lost profits, loss of data, loss of research outcomes, or business interruption — arising from your use of or inability to use the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall Supermatter's total aggregate liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Supermatter in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
Supermatter reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent in-platform notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect, where practicable. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
